Meet Andy Bauer:
Hey Everyone, here is a brief question and answer to help us get to know Andy:
How did you become a Christian? I was born into a Christian home and brought up in the church. While there is no definitive moment the change took place it was primarily through Sunday School between the ages of 6 and 8.
What is your best childhood memory? Being on the lake up at my grandmother’s house in East Brook, ME
What was your first Job? Dunkin Donuts in North Hampton as a freshman in HS.
What ministries are you involved in? Youth Ministry at Hope, I am VP of Kupenda (www.kupenda.org) ; an organization my sister founded that is dedicated to working with handicapped children in Kenya. World Servants- they organize short term missions trips for churches and organizations. In the past I have also have worked as the youth leader at Hampton Fall’s Baptist Church and in college I lead a soup kitchen ministry in Salem, MA.
How would you describe your Spiritual Gifts? Leadership. I am a visionary with the ability to see the big picture and get it done. I am also very Relational; good at creating relationships on a deeper level. I am able to relate to people and their problems.
What is your vision for Hope Community Church? To establish a youth ministry where the youth will feel comfortable and want to come. I want to create a place where they will learn about God and grow in their faith so they will be prepared to face the ‘real world’ after HS. It is also my desire to create deep and meaningful relationships as a friend and mentor, to be there for advice and help or as someone to help Hope’s teens get through the difficult years of Middle and High school.
